Micro film competition results to be announced at the end of March

The winners of the 3rd International Micro Film Competition, a part of the annual Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, will be announced in Haikou city, Hainan province, over March 28-29, the organizers said at a news conference on Tuesday.

The annual competition is jointly hosted by the Haikou city's publicity department, the International Promotion Commission of the China Film Association, the China Education Television Station and a cultural entertainment company in Hainan.

More than 7,000 entries have been received since November when the contest was announced.

Experts from various organizations, including the Central Academy of Drama, will evaluate the works.

The annual contest was first held in 2016.
