Filming for Ten Hours of Divorce, a feature movie being coproduced by China and Singapore, recently began in Xiamen, the capital of East China's Fujian province.

The movie, directed by Hong Kong-born Singaporean filmmaker Au Yuk Sing, is based on a true story about a transnational marriage.

The film, with a budget around 80 million yuan ($12.5 million), features young talent like Bai Qinglin, Liu Shu and Li Tianzhu.

Producer-scriptwriter Hui Ru says that she took around five years to complete the story.

The movie is scheduled to be released in China and Singapore in the middle of this year.
