Many scenes of the movie were shot in the mountainous areas and uninhabited deserts of Morocco, and the wilderness of the landscape has added grandeur to the film. But the real Morocco is a rainbow-like country, with a nickname "the backyard garden of Africa". Famous attractions include towns like the blue-and-white Chefchaouen and Casablanca, which rose to fame after the classic 1942 film of the same name.

It is also worth noting Morocco has decided to exempt Chinese nationals from visa requirements to enter Moroccan territory, starting June 2016. Since then the number of Chinese tourists to Morocco has increased substantially.
