Turkish president sends congratulations for Xi's election

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan recently sent a congratulatory message to President Xi Jinping, voicing hopes for strengthened relations in the future.

Erdogan congratulated Xi for being elected president at the first session of the 13th National People's Congress, according to the message provided by Turkey's embassy in China.

Under Xi's leadership and guidance, China has achieved great developments in many fields and Turkey-China relations have gained significant momentum in this period, Erdogan said.

In the new era ahead, the achievements of China will continue under Xi's leadership, Erdogan said, adding the Belt and Road Initiative, viewed as a bridge of friendship, will be a source of cooperation for both countries.

In the message, the Turkish leader expressed his cordial wishes for Xi's personal health and happiness, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity for the people of China.
