China is planning tariffs on seven categories of US imports to offset losses caused by US tariffs on steel and aluminum products, the Ministry of Commerce announced Friday.

There are 128 products in the list. 120 products worth a total of $977 million including fresh fruits, dried fruits and nuts, wine, modified ethanol, American ginseng and seamless steel pipes, will be levied a 15 percent tariff increase, while a 25 percent tariff will be imposed on eight other products worth $1.992 billion, including pork, pork products and aluminum scrap.

US President Donald Trump signed a memorandum Thursday authorizing punitive annual tariffs of up to $60 billion on Chinese exports under a Section 301 case on Chinese intellectual property policies and practices.

Let's take a look at the seven categories of US imports that China plans tariffs on.
