JAKARTA - Indonesia's archery athletes will compete in a try-out match in Shanghai this month before competing in the Asian Games later this year.

Head coach of the country's national archery team Denny Trisyanto, says that a total of 16 athletes and four substitutes will be in Shanghai this month.

The head coach said that the performance of the athletes in the event will be used for national team selection ahead of the Asian Games.

Besides competing in China, Trisyanto also said that the archers will also have a friendly match in Turkey prior to the Asian Games, but he did not elaborate further.

Indonesia has won two silvers medals and one bronze medal at the Asian Games.

The 18th Asian Games is scheduled to be held in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta as well as Palembang, the provincial capital of South Sumatra.
