Humane Dog Population Management Handbook released

World Animal Protection recently released the Humane Dog Population Management Handbook with a scientific management system for dog populations that can help control problems associated with roaming dogs, who may injure people with potential aggressive behavior and diseases. The handbook identifies six major elements: dog identification and registration, responsible dog ownership, holding facilities and adoption centers, primary health care for dogs, legislation and waste management.
