State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING - The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of officials on Wednesday.
Zhang Jianmin was appointed head of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, replacing Ling Chengxing.
Chen Jie will replace Zhong Zhihua as the president of Tongji University.
Pang Changqing was removed from the post of deputy head of National Government Offices Administration. Jiang Jianguo will no longer hold the post of head of the State Council Information Office.
