NBA exhibition to tour China
The NBA is launching its first touring exhibition in China, aimed at showcasing the excitement of the game and the rich history of the league.
Entitled "NBA Championship", the exhibition will tip off in Shanghai on Sept 8 and run through Jan 20.
Following the Shanghai stop, NBA Championship will travel to Beijing and three other cities.
The multi-level experience will use interactive exhibits, video and imagery to showcase the passion of the league, its teams and players, going back to the league's early years and exploring the many ways the NBA has evolved since 1946.
"We are excited to announce the league's first NBA Championship touring exhibition in China in partnership with Chuanbao International," said NBA China CEO Derek Chang.
"The popularity of the NBA is at an all-time high in China, and this exhibition will perfectly capture the many ways in which the NBA is linked to the hearts of millions of Chinese fans."
Hao Yang, chairman of Chuanbao International, said: "We are privileged to work with the NBA to host the NBA Championship to display the league's colorful culture and rich history.
"I believe the exhibition will bring unique experiences to NBA fans and inspire more people to play basketball in China."
The 2018 NBA China Games, featuring the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers, will be played on Oct 5 in Shanghai and Oct 8 in Shenzhen.
