The elderly don't need much - healthcare, food and lodging, friends and visitors. Theirs is only an hourglass of sandy driplets. Don't let their last days be of sad memories and bitter feelings. Start programs where young students will assign themselves to visit an elderly each in their neighborhood in addition to their grandparents. Then they record in a social portal their experiences. Then it becomes a list of where who needs what can be known to all as a prelude to a national charity program. Just to help each get past the remaining days in some comfort before they expire.
