Garden expo run kicks off in Beijing

A 10-km run kicked off at the Beijing Garden Expo Park on Oct 21. The run was accredited by the Chinese Athletics Association and organized by Chinese company Migu Run. It aimed to promote national fitness.

More than 2,000 people from home and abroad, including the US, Japan and South Korea, joined the race and enjoyed the picturesque autumn scenery at the expo park.

Chinese runner Wang Hao from Tsinghua University won the men's race at 30 minutes and 56 seconds, while Xia Yuyu from Shanxi province topped the women's category at 34 minutes and 59 seconds.

A 100-km relay race was also held in the interim, and the Shooter Team won the championship, with 5 hours, 28 minutes and 37 seconds.
