Houston high school on lockdown due to shooting threat

HOUSTON, Nov. 13 -- A teen was shot dead in a church parking near Lamar High School in Houston around noon time on Tuesday, police said.

According to Houston Police, one male was transported to hospital and pronounced dead and the investigation by homicide team was on-going.

The shooting incident happened in a church parking lot near Lamar High School and St. John's School, about 7 km west downtown Houston, US state of Texas. According to alerts sent to parents, both schools were on lockdown due to the shooting incident.
