Su Wanchao, a 62-year-old member of the Yi ethnic group, has collected over 400 cultural artifacts of the group during the past 10 years, including folk costumes, masks of ancient folk drama, scriptures, bamboo slips and ancient chariots.

Living in Jiucaiping village in Bijie city, Southwest China's Guizhou province, he vacated the first floor of his house for his collection, which covers more than 200 square meters.

Su said by seeing these folk items, he expects local young people to learn more about Yi ethnic history and culture.
