Philadelphia Orchestra in Shanghai

A special flash mob concert was held in Shanghai Library East on Saturday celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Philadelphia Orchestra's 1973 visit to China.

It was the first tour to the People's Republic of China made by an American orchestra. Making Shanghai as the last stop for this cultural journey, the Orchestra had also performed in Beijing, Tianjin, and Suzhou since Nov 10.

Three pieces were played including Chinese melody "Horse Race."
