Former Beijing transport official sentenced to life for bribery

Wang Chunjie, the former Party secretary and chairman of Beijing Public Transport Holdings Group, was sentenced to life imprisonment for bribery on Wednesday, the Beijing No 3 Intermediate People's Court announced.
According to the court, Wang has been sentenced to life imprisonment, a lifelong deprivation of political rights and confiscation of all personal assets for taking bribes.
Wang's illicit gains and related interests will be turned over to the national treasury.
