China's Three Gorges Corp ready to invest $15b in Pakistan

KARACHI, Pakistan - The China Three Gorges Corp, China's largest hydropower developer, is ready to invest $15 billion in Pakistan's energy sector, which will add 10,000 mW to its grid in 10 years, Reuters reported on March 7, citing a senior company official.

"We have given the company's plan... that in the following 10 years we can invest $15 billion for 10,000 mW power generation," Wang Shaofeng, vice-president, told Reuters in a phone interview from Islamabad.
