Chinese shares open mixed Friday

BEIJING -- Chinese shares opened mixed on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.04 percent to open at 2,858.31.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.08 percent at the opening to 12,167.8.
