Android and Apple race over smart phones

Thirty-seven percent of American mobile phone owners are using smart phones, and among them Android system continues to lead the smart phone market by 36 percent market share, 10 percent more than Apple system, and 13 percent more than the blackberry system, a recent study from Nielson shows.

The study also indicates that Android and Apple users share some common traits. More than 70 percent of them downloaded applications in the past 30 days; more than 40 percent tune in radios with their phones at least once in a month, while 30 percent once watched online broadcastings in the past month.

Although Apple system users use these "smart functions" slightly more frequently, Android supporters use them more thoroughly, since their data usage is higher. On average Android users consume 582 MB data every month, while Apple users use 492 MB.
