Hong Kong stocks close 0.99% higher - August 1

HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks gained 223.12 points, or 0.99 percent, at 22,663.37 on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,651 and 22,808.33. Turnover totaled HK$63.039 billion ($8.089 billion).
