China's crude throughput is likely to grow 8.5 percent to 9.2 million barrels a day this year, the government said on Tuesday, indicating refinery output will accelerate in the second half compared with the first.

Domestic refineries will process about 460 million tons of crude this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said in a report on its website.

The National Bureau of Statistics said China processed 7.1 percent more crude oil in the first half than in the year-earlier period.
