China stocks close 1.3% higher--Aug 15

BEIJING-- China's stocks closed higher on Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.3 percent, or 33.60 points, to close at 2,626.77.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.0 percent, or 116.45 points, to finish at 11,767.74.
