SHENZHEN -- The combined circulation value of shares traded on China's two bourses dropped 0.91 percent to 20.43 trillion yuan ($3.32 trillion) on Friday from the previous week.
The total market value totaled 24.65 trillion yuan, down 0.91 percent week to week, while the average price per share declined 0.97 percent to 7.14 yuan, data from the two bourses showed.
The circulation market value of the Shanghai Stock Exchange lost 1.57 percent to 13.73 trillion yuan, while that of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange increased 0.46 percent to 6.7 trillion yuan.
By Friday, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 1.54 percent week on week to close at 2,097.75 points, while the Shenzhen Component Index lost 1.73 percent to 7,455.74 points.
The decline was mainly attributed to lackluster performance by heavyweights in the financial and real estate sectors.
Currently, 959 companies are listed on the SSE and 1,578 are listed on the SZSE.
