Political advisors discuss shipbuilding

BEIJING - China's political advisory body on Tuesday convened a meeting to discuss development of shipbuilding.
The meeting was presided over by Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
The propose is aimed at solving problems such as excess production capacity and lack of innovation.
Political advisors suggested "having the market play its role" and adopting measures including bank loans and tax adjustment to promote upgrading and restructuring.
They called for more financial support for efficient companies and the elimination of those with excess capacity.
The meeting also urged authorities to lead and support research on marine technology.
