KGT International Trading Co Ltd, a global commodities joint procurement platform in China, is gearing up its expansion in cross-border e-commerce business, by cooperating with the APEC E-commerce Business Alliance.

KGT signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the e-commerce business alliance on Thursday, saying it will work closely with the alliance to seek more opportunities in cross-border e-commerce business with APEC members.

"Our goal is to build a global cross-border e-commerce platform that offers mutual benefits for all members. China can sell commodities to all other member states. And those states can also sell their brands to China and each other via the platform." said Liu Ming, president of KGT International Trading Co Ltd.

Under the agreement, the Beijing-headquartered company aims to help small- and medium-sized companies in China to participate more easily in global commerce and enable Chinese consumers to shop without limitations.

Hu Yang, secretary general of APEC E-commerce Business Alliance, said both sides will have access to more international resources via the cooperation.

"We will knock down trade barriers for the development of Chinese small- and medium-sized companies. And the further development of cross-border e-commerce will offer consumers more choices of international brands."

As the Spring Festival is on the way, KGT also launched an international brands festival on the same day, offering a wide range of international commodities, including food, cosmetics, wines and daily necessities.

Founded in 2014, the company has established strategic cooperation with Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Southeast Asian countries.

By the end of 2017, KGT plans to open 30 outlets in China.
