7 dead, 11 injured in East China road accident

FUZHOU - Seven people died at the scene and 11 others were injured when a bus crashed into a car on an expressway in East China's Fujian Province early Wednesday, police said.

The bus, carrying 46 people, was en route from Putian to Zhangzhou when it crashed into a car and overturned on an interprovincial expressway in Quanzhou city at around 1 am, said a traffic police officer in Quanzhou.

He did not identify the victims.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, he said.
