Supporting policies for emerging industries to be issued

China is drafting the details of policies to support emerging industries and specific measures will come out soon, the Shanghai Securities News reported Friday, citing an official.

Ren Zhiwu, the deputy director of the Department of High-Tech Industry at the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), told the reporters China will adopt supporting policies for emerging industries in various aspects. He made the remarks at Thursday's press conference for the 5th China Bio-industry Convention (BioChina), which is held in Shenzhen on June 17-19.

He said there are six measures to strengthen the development of emerging industries, which are: first, building the capacity of enterprises' innovation; second, turning the scientific research into industrial production; third, promoting the cluster development of bio-industry; fourth, international cooperation; fifth, cultivating the market in terms of demand by introducing new technology.

The last one is the government financial support for solving the financing difficulty of medium- and small-size enterprises, he added.
