Suning plans to add 200 stores a year

Suning Appliance, China's biggest home appliance retailer, aims to add 200 stores a year to its existing franchise network over the next ten years, the Securities Times reported Sunday, citing company chairman Zhang Jindong.

The company expects to have 50 stores and lead the industry in Hong Kong by the year of 2013.

In addition, Suning plans to enter the markets in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries in 2014 or 2015, according to the Securities Times.

Suning now has 1,500 stores nationwide.
