Brazzaville to kick off China culture week

BRAZZAVILLE - Through the initiative of Republic of Congo's Communication Minister Bienvenu Okiemy, a Chinese cultural week will be marked in the country between July 11-15.
This announcement was made on Monday in the Congolese capital by Chinese ambassador to the country Li Shuli after a meeting with Okiemy.
The Chinese ambassador specified that this cultural week will help to reinforce the mutual understanding between the two countries.
During the week, the Congolese journalists will be trained on photography by photo-journalists from the Chinese State News Agency Xinhua.
There will also be an open day at the Chinese Embassy.
In addition, films on cooperation between the Republic of Congo and China, documentaries that have been produced by Xinhua staff in the Republic of Congo and the development projects that have been executed by China in the country will also be broadcast during the week.
Li Shuli also said that during the week, an exchange forum will be organized between the Congolese students and the Chinese students so that they can share their different experiences.
During their meeting, Li Shuli and Minister Okiemy also discussed the issue of training Congolese journalists by Chinese media experts.
This cultural week will be held under the theme "Chinese history and art at the service of Africa and the Republic of Congo. "
