A fire erupted at a China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) plant in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province at around 10 am on Monday, Xinhua reported.
A statement on the CNPC's official website confirmed the incident, saying a tank containing about 800 tons of diesel oil is on fire.
The statement said: "The cause of the blaze is being investigated. No one was injured and no oil spilled into the sea."
The CNPC refinery in Dalian also caught fire in July.
