A university official was dismissed after being recognized in a group of sex photos exposed online, Beijing News reported.
Wang Yu, vice-secretary of the Chinese Communist Youth League committee of Hefei University, has been stripped of his post and Party membership after being confirmed as one of the people in several sex photos circulating on the Internets since Aug 8. Wang's wife, a teacher at a middle school in Hefei city, got the same punishment as another figure in the photos.
The pictures involve three men and two women, naked or barely clothed, during an alleged wife swap party in May 2007.
One of the men was first mistaken for Wang Minsheng, Party secretary of Lujiang county, also in Anhui province, East China.
The government of Lujiang has declared that Wang has no relation with the photo and will seek legal responsibility for the detractors.
Hefei University has held a meeting on this case and emphasized moral and political education on officials and teachers.
