A college in East China has closed the online interaction system on its website following the appearance of numerous messages seeking prostitutes.
The initial aim of the system was to answer inquiries from students who wanted to enroll at Jiangxi Police College, in Nanchang of Jiangxi province, the college said in a statement on Aug 21.
However, the system was attacked by some people who used it to issue "illegal messages", according to the statement.
However, some people still doubt how messages seeking prostitutes, which had kept appearing since Aug 8, could have passed verification by managers of the college's website, according to local media reports.
