Mianyang introduces $10b in investment

The city of Mianyang in northern Sichuan province signed 105 contracts with outside investors for projects worth nearly 66 billion yuan ($10 billion), during the investment fair held in Chengdu, Sichuan's capital, on Thursday.
The deals includes the sectors of modern agriculture, electronic information, atuomobile and parts, metallurgy and machines, new energy, new materials, natural gas, foodstuff, medicine, energy conservation, environmental protection and modern services.
Of those signed, one has plans for an investment of 2 billion yuan to exploit natural gas in Mianyang, said Luo Qiang, Party chief of Mianyang, the only national science and technology city approved by China's central government
The investment fair was part of the 13th Western China International Fair, which will end on Sept 30.
