CPC congress media center opens Nov 1

BEIJING - The media center for the upcoming 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will launch its official website on Thursday to offer service for both domestic and overseas press and readers.
The site, www.cpcnews.cn, will feed journalists and readers with the congress agenda, latest news, announcements and background information on past CPC national congresses in both Chinese and English.
Based in the Beijing Media Center Hotel, the media center for the 18th CPC National Congress will also go into operation on Thursday.
In a meeting on September 28, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee proposed convening the 18th CPC National Congress on November 8 in Beijing.
