Climbing high in life is instilled in most from childhood but for Yu Qiyun and his younger sister that takes on a whole new meaning. Studying at a school 35 kilometers away from home, Yu has to climb 70-meter ladders home after school every weekend. Above the ladders there is a small village, where only six families have been living for decades. Yu's grandfather made the wooden ladders and has to change them every three to four years as they are easily corroded. The local authority said it would send technical teams to build a safer way-out as soon as possible. [Photo/CFP]
