China unveiled its Dongfeng-21D missile, nicknamed the "aircraft carrier killer" at the parade. Dongfeng-21D, the latest variant of the DF-21 medium-range ballistic missile system, is reportedly capable of hitting an aircraft carrier within a range of 1,500 km.

Also shown during the 90-minute event were intercontinental ballistic missiles such as the DF-5B and DF-31A as well as the DF-26 intermediate range ballistic missile.
