Wanyuanhu, a word invented in 1980s, describes a household with annual income of over 10,000 yuan, which was not common at that time. The family made 140,000 yuan by selling agricultural and related products in 1982. Two-story house, a tractor, a motorcycle, and a bicycle are all typical signs of a rich family in 1980s.
