Walking along a 'water' highway on Poyang Lake

Visitors appreciate views along the Dahuchi Highway, in the middle of Poyang Lake, before the highway is flooded, in East China's Jiangxi province, May 22, 2016. The water level of China's largest freshwater lake has risen to an alarming two-month high earlier than expected, as more rainfall than usual has hit the region since the start of this year. The 5-kilometer-long Dahuchi water highway is a natural attraction to fishing and outdoors enthusiasts as it passes through the lake's natural reserve, where some 700,000 migratory birds spend the long winter.
