Large number of relics found in ancient ship Nanhai No 1

Relics are seen in the wrecked ship "Nanhai No 1" at a museum in Hailing, South China’s Guangdong province, Dec 30, 2014. Archeologists have started exploring the interiors of the Chinese merchant ship which sank off the South China coast during the Southern Song Dynasty between 1127 and 1279. In Nov 2013, the full-scale excavation of "Nanhai No 1" started, and so far 623 porcelain samples, 107 gold wares, 5,000 bronze coins, and many other cultural relics have been extracted from the wreck.
