Tiny sculptures of the Eiffel Tower, Great Wall, and even the Monkey King carved out of pencil leads? A Taiwanese artist called Chien-chu Lee just made just that, causing a stir online with his astonishing artworks.
Lee is an engineer who spends his spare time carving pencil leads as a hobby.
"It began about five years ago. I was carving bamboo chopsticks for my children, when a friend suggested I carve on pencil lead. So I began, and then I became addicted to it."
Lee's micro artworks cover a wide variety of subjects, including architecture, landscapes, historical figures and cartoons.
