New York-based Chinese artist Yueyin Hu exhibited her street art collection Off the Wall at the Gateway Art Center in New York City from March 26-April 7. Hu is interested in writing as an art form. Hu, who grew up studying Chinese calligraphy and ink painting, said she wants to enrich Chinese writing by mixing it with Western street art. "My arts are inspired by traditional Chinese calligraphy and Asian architecture," she said. "I combined the format of calligraphy and contemporary four-dimensional techniques to create this new concept of graffiti."
