Kelsey Grammer's children want him to have a baby with his new wife.

The former 'Frasier' star married Kayte Walsh, 29, in February and he has revealed his daughter Mason, nine, and six-year-old son Jude - his kids with ex-wife Camille Grammer - are keen to get a new sibling.

Speaking at the 65th Tony Awards in New York City on Sunday (12.06.11), he said: "Oh I think they're very excited about the idea of having a new addition to the family. They're very cool about it. My son, Jude, especially. He's like, 'When are the children coming?' "

Kelsey is currently involved in a custody battle with his former spouse Camille - who he was married to for 13 years - over their children and he expects it to be an unpleasant affair.

The 56-year-old actor - who also has a 27-year-old daughter Spencer Grammer and a 19-year-old daughter Kandace from previous relationships - added to America's OK! magazine: "It's going to be a long drawn out thing and it'll be turgid and unpleasant I'm sure, but not on my side."

But although he is not relishing the custody battle, Kelsey is relishing his marriage to Kayte - who tragically suffered a miscarriage last year - and admits he feels "blessed" to be with her.

The four-times married star gushed: "She's just amazing. A lovely human being. She sees the loving angle in almost every situation. She's an extraordinary woman and I'm as blessed as I've ever been in my life."
