Oprah Winfrey: The book

Oprah Winfrey is set to release a book.

The 240-page publication, entitled 'The Oprah Winfrey Show: Reflections on an American Legacy', will be released on November 15 and contain 150 photographs, personal memories and highlights from the media mogul's chat show, which covered many social issues in the US and ended in May 2011 after 25 years on air.

The coffee table book - which will be priced at $50 - will also feature essays by a number of stars, including a piece by U2 singer Bono and American journalist Nicholas Kristof on social action, as well as a Julia Roberts and Diane von Furstenberg article about culture.

A tribute to the 57-year-old TV star by John Travolta and Phil Donahue will also be included in the publication, which features a picture of Oprah taken by fashion photographer Ruven Afanador on the cover.

The media mogul was joined by a galaxy of celebrities including Tom Cruise and Madonna in the final episode of her programme - which she quit earlier this year to concentrate on her TV network, OWN - on which she praised fans for watching the show.

She said: "From you whose names I will never know, I learned what love is. You and this show have been the great love of my life.

"Thank you for being as much of a sweet inspiration for me as I tried to be for you. I won't say goodbye. I'll just say until we meet again."
