Snooki loves Italian food, but doesn't think pizza will make her gain weight.

The Italian-American star - real name Nicole Polizzi - spent time in the country while shooting a special of her show 'Jersey Shore', in which she stars with Pauly D and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, but does not regret spending most of her time partying and eating and not seeing famous sites.

She told Hollywoodlife.com: "We clubbed a lot. We drank a lot. I mean I can always go back to Rome when I want to.

"My favourite part of Italy would probably be the food. The pizza and the pasta. Even if you eat it, you don't gain any weight because it's so fresh and healthy."

Despite her love of calorific food, 23-year-old Snooki - who has often confessed a love for fried pickles - has recently been on a weight loss regime, and recently revealed she would prefer to hit the gym over a night out.

She wrote on twitter: "As everyone's planning their night at the club, I'm wondering when Gold's Gym closes. Water is my new best friend."
