Tips for job-hopping

Do not take changing your job as a way of seeking promotion and more pay. Although quite a few people manage to do so, their number accounts for a small proportion of job-hoppers.
Do not blindly follow other people in job-hopping. There are people who changed their jobs only because their friends have done so several times and they want to follow suit. Most of them ended up missing their old jobs, only to find there is no way back.
Do not envy high pay in popular professions. You should remember: Your personal gain is always decided by your contribution to the company. If you want more money, you have to earn more for the company in the first place. You have to think beforehand whether you can agree with that kind of lifestyle. After all, there is no free lunch in the world.
Do not take a new job without plans for career development. Nearly 60 percent of job-hoppers fit this description. The most likely scenario is that you will soon find your professional experience wasted after an ill-planned job change.
Do not fall into a habit of changing jobs. Many people take experiences in various posts and industries as evidence of their professional competitiveness. Companies, however, tend to consider such a resume restless and untrustworthy. As a result, frequent job-hopping in the past will undermine your chance to do so in the future.
