US writer Norman Mailer once said, Hemingway has been fighting with fear and suicidal thought all his life, resulting in a drifted life. His inner world is like a nightmare and his nights were spent fighting with death.
In 1960, Ernest Hemingway was twice sent to a sanitarium with depression. After being discharged he still lived with fear and suspicion until in 1967 he ended the suffering with a gunshot.
