WASHINGTON - Victoria Azarenka of Belarus shut reigning champ Kim Clijsters out of the semifinals at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, upsetting the second seeded Belgian 6-3, 6-3 on Wednesday.

Clijsters, who won the Australian Open in January, struggled to find her form through the one hour, 20 minutes match, conceding six out of eight break points while only breaking the opponent for three times.

Victoria Azarenka, winner of the tournament in 2009, will face third seed Vera Zvonareva of Russia, who overcame Pole Agnieszka Radwanska 7-5, 6-3, in the semifinals.
