5,500 Titanic artifacts up for bid

On April 11, precisely 100 years to the day of the Titanic's maiden voyage, more than 5,500 artifacts from the Titanic's wreck site a half-mile below the ocean's surface will go up for auction. All the artifacts will be sold as a collection, which was valued at $189 million in a 2007 appraisal. Potential buyers must submit bids by April 2, and the winner will be selected two weeks later.
