A taste of champagne
The Petrus French Restaurant at Legendale Hotel Beijing has a special champagne menu. It includes homemade pat with duck aiguillette, foie gras and champagne, truffle and walnut salad, and a variation of fresh oyster with champagne. The five-course dinner costs 388 yuan plus 15 percent surcharge for each person. Petrus opens only for dinner on Saturday, and is closed on Sundays.

Taiwan gourmet discovery
Discover Taiwan street food at Grand Caf, Grand Hyatt Beijing, from Aug 19-28. Master chef Chien Hung-wen from Grand Hyatt Taipei will cook up truly authentic delicacies. Taiwan food will be offered in addition to the regular buffet menu during this time. Expect to find roasted mullet roe with turnip and young leeks, wok-fried chicken with Chinese herbs and dark sesame oil. The meal costs 278 yuan a person, plus 15 percent surcharge.

Saying goodbye
After four years of serving amazing meals and creating special memories, Blu Lobster is closing its doors. Shangri-La Beijing is organizing a farewell party for the eatery, 6:30-10 pm on Aug 27, featuring six of its patrons' favorite dishes from 2007, and a selection of wines and champagne. The price of 598 yuan a person includes a special gift and an attractive lucky draw prize.
