US army vehicle kills pedestrian in Kabul

KABUL - A pedestrian was killed by a US army vehicle in Afghan capital Kabul on Thursday, a private television channel reported.

"A US army vehicle hit a pedestrian in Masoud Square Kabul city this morning and killed him on the spot," said Tolo news bulletin.

Quoting eye witnesses, the television added that the reckless driving of the US army vehicle had caused the tragic incident.

According to an eyewitness, the victim was a policeman. However, an official with the press department of the Interior Ministry said, "We have not received the report yet."
