Senior US diplomat to visit Seoul for talks

SEOUL - US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Kurt Campbell is set to pay a two-day visit to South Korea starting Saturday, the foreign ministry in Seoul said Tuesday.

Campbell will meet with senior officials here including deputy Foreign Minister Kim Jae-shin and Seoul's chief negotiator to the six-party talks, Wi Sung-lac, according to the foreign ministry.
Wallace Gregson, US assistant secretary of defense for Asian and Pacific security affairs, is also scheduled to visit Seoul on Saturday for a four-day trip.
